HONOLULU STYLE HAWAIIAN RIBS (AWESOME)





5 lbs pork spareribs, preferably babybacks

1 tsp or sprig of parsley

1-2 lemons sliced thin

1 sprig or 1 tsp oregano

2 tbls soy sauce

2 tbls dry cooking sherry

1 1/2 tbls honey

1 tsp finely chopped gingerroot

1 clove garlic..finely chopped

1/2 tsp chinese 5 spice

1/4 c peanut oil

1/4 c garlic shili paste (sun luck or another brand will do)

Boil ribs with parsley, lemon slices, and oregano with cover slightly ajar and water covering for 45 mins.

Mix rest of ingreds as they marinade.

Put cooked ribs and marinade in a ziplock bag...at least 3 hours but best over night.

Broil or cook ribs over charcoal just until slightly crisp..do not baste unless you like eal spicy stuff!!
