Pot Roast





Ingredients

4-5 lb Bottom Round Roast
8 QT Pot with cover
2 Large Vidalia Onions Chopped
Vegetable Oil
1 28 oz.(Red Pack) Tomato Sauce
4 Cans Beef Broth
Salt/Pepper/Garlic Powder
Flour
Water will be added later

Directions.


1. Pour oil into 8 quart pot to cover bottom of pot and add onions. Saute fast- few minutes.
2. Add Salt, Pepper and Garlic Powder then flour entire Bottom Round.
3. Place meat on top of onions turn at times try to brown meat and keep stirring up onions.
4. Take out meat and drain any oil (keep onions in pot)
5. Add tomato sauce/ beef broth and about 4 cups of water ( sauce should cover meat) Get hot and boiling stir up onions from bottom then add meat.
6. Let cook 4 hours- slow simmer.
7. Serve over wide noodles or toasted bread (rye bread good)
