Tana's Fudge
3 cups sugar
3/4 cups butter or margarine(oleo) lol...this equals 1 1/2 sticks
1 small can of evaporated milk(5 oz)
1 1/2 pkg semi sweet choc squares (12 squares) chopped up of course
1 1/2 cups marshmallow creme
1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts pecans cashews macadamias)
1 tsp vanilla
line a 9 inch square pan with foil with the ends of the foil folded over the edges.
set this aside.
Put sugar, butter and milk in a heavy saucepan and bring to full rolling boil.
Let it boil for another 4 mins stirring constantly or until candy thermometer reaches 234 degrees F.
Remove from heat.
Add choc and marshmallow creme and stir until completely melted.
Add walnuts and vanilla and mix well.
Pour immediately into the square pan and let stand for 4 hrs at room temperature.
Cut into as big as squares as you would like.
For a change of flavor you can add either rum or licorice extract instead of the vanilla.
Also if you would like peanut butter you would then add a cup and a half of the peanut butter to mixture before adding the choc and marshmallow creme.
( Plz be advised that I use almond bark for making my fudge and it comes either in choc or white choc squares (12 each).
Thanks for the recipe Cindy aka Tana
