Ingredients
5cm fresh root ginger peeled and grated
6 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
100 ml whisky
300 ml ginger wine
500 ml fresh orange juice
500 ml ginger ale
1 orange thinly sliced
Directions
1. Place the ginger in a square of muslin with the cloves and cinnamon, tie with string till it looks like a little bag
Place in the base of a large jug or heatproof bowl
2. Put the whisky, ginger wine, and ornage juice in a pan and heat till almost boiling
Pour over the ginger bag in jug and leave to infuse for 10 mins. Remove the bag and add the ginger ale
you can change the whiskey for brandy or rum
